SMUDAMA or SMA Negeri 2 Tinggimoncong Mainstay is a school that is located 62 kilometers from Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia.

Entering the 21st century full of challenges and opportunities, required quality of human resources capable of implementing science and technology along with Iman and Taqwa to God the Almighty Esa.Selama this, the fact shows that the quality of national education has not been evenly distributed.

In response to these conditions, in 1994 Latimojong Education Foundation signed a cooperation agreement with Direkrorat Elementary and Secondary Education Department of Education and Local Government Affairs Tk.1 South Sulawesi to build a Competitive Middle School in Sulawesi Selatan.Pembangunan School begins December 19, 1995, then officially opened by the Minister of Education and Culture, Prof.Dr.Ing.Wardiman Djoyonegoro on 21 February 1997.

Establishment SMAN 02 Tinggimoncong motivated the desire to foster sons and daughters of South Sulawesi area that will be competing with students from other regions and at the same time can later be built in South Sulawesi in particular and Indonesia in general.

The desire was finally realized after Latimojong Education Foundation spearheaded the establishment of high school 02 Mainstay Malino (SMA 02 Tinggimoncong) Original plan of this school will be placed in areas Kanrapia, but because natural conditions do not allow its location eventually moved to the village of Parigi, district. Tinggimoncong ± 62 km from Makassar or ± 8 km from Malino.

Finally, SMU 02 Tinggimoncong inaugurated its use as a school institution on February 28, 1997.Then on June 16, 1997 began receiving new students as many as 67 people (20 people class II and class I 47 persons). Actually, since the previous year  SMAN 2 Tinggimoncong students have received, but still "deposited" in their respective areas as a means for teaching and learning process has not been fully completed.New in 1997 that students began his education at SMU 02 Tinggimoncong.
